Richard Mackool, MD
Demonstrating ophthalmic surgical techniques has long been part of my everyday practice. Now, thanks to educational grants from several ophthalmic companies, you are able to virtually sit at the microscope with me and see the techniques and instrumentation I use with my own patients. The only editing is to show a different camera view or to remove down time – every step of every procedure will be shown just as if you are with me in the OR. We will release one new surgical video every month, allowing you to earn CME credits or simply watch the video. Thanks for joining us on Mackool Online CME.
– Richard Mackool, MD
Richard Mackool, MD, a world renowned anterior segment ophthalmic microsurgeon, has assembled a web-based video collection of surgical cases that encompass both routine and challenging cases, demonstrating both familiar and potentially unfamiliar surgical techniques using a variety of instrumentation and settings.
These high-definition videos are designed to serve as teaching tools.
This educational activity aims to present a series of Dr. Mackool’s surgical videos, carefully selected to address the specific learning objectives of this activity, with the goal of making surgical training available as needed online for surgeons motivated to improve or expand their surgical repertoire.
