Surgery Description

Case Description: This female patient presents with very obvious pseudoexfoliation and cataract. While paying attention to her suboptimal zonular status, using my chop technique, I remove her cataract, demonstrate the insertion of 2 iStents to treat her Secondary Pseudoexfoliative Glaucoma and complete the case with IOL implantation.

Learning Objective

After reviewing the educational video, learners should be able to 1. To demonstrate a nucleus disassembly technique that minimizes stress to the lens zonule, and is of particular value in eyes with pseudoexfoliation. 2. To demonstrate methods to protect the posterior capsule from accidental aspiration during removal of both the nucleus and lens cortex.

Partial credit of individual sessions is not available.
